What rear end do I have?

I know I have a Dana 44 in the front, but I don't know what's in the rear. Just curious, can y'all tell what it is?

Dana 60. The metal tag on the right side held on with 2 of the bolts should have the gear ratio stamped into it.

Dana 60. You do have a rear end tag on the cover. It will give you more info like ratio etc.

Is that a pretty good combo for off-road? A Dana 44 in the front and a 60 in the rear?

kind of depends on 'what' off roading you want to do?

I saw a post awhile back, where some guy found an F250 with snow plow package (Dana 60 on front and rear).
I guess those a quite rare.

check it out SNOW FIGHTER

I do pretty well any kind of off-roading around here, sand, mud, gravel, dirt, rock, just no snow or ice unless we get lucky in the winter. It's my DD and everytime me or my family or my friends go hunting, we use it because its perfect for that application, only been stuck once in sand and it was only because they solenoid that switches between tanks crapped and got stuck on the empty one
