i came across a 2002 5.4 supercharged engine and trans out of a f150 harley davidson.

i want to drop it in my '65 ford f100

what are the problems to expect? (exept the obvious enginemounts and trans mounts)

i like to know iff there is a basic wiring harness and ecu available?

if so where?

Not entirely sure but painless wiring harness should have something to help you out with. I am not sure if it will physically fit under the hood. Unless you take the trans with that engine your going to need to put a manual behind it. The 65' probably wont be strong enough and it works off of mechanical kick down and linkage. You will probably need standalone ecu's for both engine and trans, find a really good dyno shop somewhere close and talk to them about it...This would be a extremely complex undertaking. Hope it all works out, it sounds like a cool idea.

 

Hello there. I've heard about this kind of swap,and it's a lot of work but the end result is worth it. I Ford has a harness for street rod app but it's kinda spendy. It includes almost everything (almost) for about $1800 or so. Good luck!
