Ignition issue

76 F150...360...4sp...2wd...Supercab...Breakerless Duraspark ignition.
Yesterday started and ran fine as usual...gotta love old Fords.

Wet and snowy this morning...went out to start the truck...wont start.

Removed dizzy cap...checked for rotation, good. Checked for spark( screw driver to block) spark from coil wire was strong and consistent but ZERO SPARK from the plug wires...cleaned cap points as they were carbonized...still no spark from plug wires...checked with screw driver to block on both banks.

Cap and rotor problem? Wires?

Thanks in advance.

No spark at all from any of the plug wires? If so, sounds like the rotor is bad. A new cap and rotor are cheap enough that you won't be out much if you replace them just for kicks, yet they end up not solving the problem. That's especially true if they're old enough that they need to be replaced anyway.

Open wires or too wide of plug gap would be another explanation, but not all eight at once. Again, this assumes you tried more than one plug wire.

Nice...database error after writing a long detailed post...pisses me off.

Anyway guys...I replaced the wires, cap and rotor and all is good in the world again. Started right up...adjusted the dizzy spin and idles perfect. Thanks again to all at FTE.
