Get an extractor tool to be safe before you begin. You may not need it but its good insurance

As stated, have the Lisle tool on hand. It makes broken plugs no problem. The best chance of not breaking them are to get the engine to operating temperature and then zip them out with an impact gun. Worked for me.

Or, since it is your daily transportation .... bite the bullet and take it to a shop that's had experience and has a lisle or similar extraction tool set in case of breakage ..... but it's gonna cost some $$$ that way.

And, it might also be the coil packs. I would have it checked out before starting the 'shotgun' method of replacing parts.

If he has 122K on it with original plugs, they need to be changed.
