Timing with light or mag probe

I had to replace my mag probe on my meter. Since it had both a light and a meter option, I picked up a light and a probe.

I just checked the timing and the probe shows about 7.6 but fuxuates a bit. The light shows I am and 4.8. Which would you expect to be more accurate?

strange. Since it was low either way, I advanced the timing to 8.4 on the light and low and behold, the probe is steady at 8.5

Hmmm, that is unusual. Glad it worked out though.

Nice truck there BTW!
