Smile Looking for opinions, thoughts & advise.

I am seriously considering purchasing a 2008 F350 CC 6.4L diesel with 142k miles for $23K. I have never owned a diesel so I'm not sure what I should be looking at/for when I test drive it this Saturday.
I feel as if this deal is "too good to be true" so I'd love to hear opinions, thoughts & advise.
I currently own a 2001 Expedition with 265k miles that I love to death but she's getting too old to tow with now, so I want my FORD SUPER DUTY now!!!

Thanks All!!!

Run. Go to the specific engine forums. 6.4 had some issues, not as many as the 6.0 but still...... More: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ch-folder.html

It's a great motor compared to the 6.0: http://www.dieselpowermag.com/featur...6_4l_problems/

Lots of hate between Ford and IH over these two engines.

Check out the forums as noted above and be sure to get as much history on the truck as possible. Maintenance is the key to long engine life. The 6.4 does have some inherent problems with cooling. I would have it looked at by a good diesel mechanic before you buy it.

Many repairs on that engine are EXTREMELY expensive.

I'd trust that motor less than a 6.0.

I kept my 6.0 when offered peanuts in trade on a new '08. The trade offer was so offensive I determined there and then I'd run the 6.0 into the dirt. Best thing that dealer could have ever done for me. Seven years later and I'm still using it every day. That dealer unwittingly saved me tens of thousands of dollars.
