Slipping clutch F350
We had put a new clutchin 2 years ago - abotu 18K miles and its already slipping again. The shop put a stock clutch back in and I didn't think to request different. With our programer we are pushing 600-640 torque- my question is due to heat factor is a Kevlar Clutch really going to make a HUGE difference as long as we do a Dual Disk clutch? The Kevlar are almost double the price and we need to keep it affordable right now... SO I guess what would you put in truck is soley used for pulling cattle and horses, 7.3 diesel- TIA!!!!!

I have an early 99 F350 6 spd 7.3 . I put in an LUK clutch kit from Carolina clutch. It included a solid flywheel ...disc...and pressure plate. It wasn't kevlar but was a dual friction (pads alternated between semi metallic and copper looking). I tow a 53' enclosed race trailer with 25' of living quarters and 100 gallons of water...combined weight is over 31K. I've NEVER had a slipping issue with this clutch. I have a TP tuner ( I run it on 75 hp tow setting but it handles the 100 hp setting too)... 4" MBRP exhaust... RIFF RAFF tractor filter ..and a PACBRAKE exhaust brake to slow it all down. Hope this helps.
