Most on here stick with motorcraft. There are some deals available through amazon. Coil packs are not something that need to be replaced unless they are causing misfires or failing. I only replaced the neccessary coil on my truck after switching plugs.

The coil broke off the mount, so I've read these coils produce 65k volts and give more HP and mileage. Just wondering if anybody has bought them.

Stick with OEM coils. There's nothing better out there.

Do you mean the "ear" part of the coil? So the screw can't snug the coil down? If that's the case, you don't need to replace the coil, it will be fine without the screw attaching the coil.

A lot of the Lightning guys run their COP's without any screws holding the coils down. I have two coils right now on my Lighting that I've been running without any screws, for the past several years, just because I didn't wanna put them back on.

I also had a 2003 F150 that I sold to my daughter, that she sold to her friend (that I still do maintenance on for the current owner) and that truck has a few coil screws missing too.

I've read these coils....give more HP and mileage
Pure, absolute, utter bullpoop.

If the spark plug "came out", you'd better deal with that first....

Yea, the ear broke off when it launched the plug. So the coil pack can just sit there like that? I didn't know.. I was thinking to epoxy it back into the coil..

Yupper. I had a plug blow out (you will need to deal with fixing those threads) and broke the COP screw ear thing-a-ma-bob. I bought a new coil BUT i JB welded the ear back onto the old coil and it's now my spare. I works just fine so i didn't really need to buy the new one but doesn't hurt to have a spare either.

Yea, I just dropped it off at a Ford Dealer who specializes in Time Sert repairs. Going to kill a couple birds with one stone and have them Big Sert the #7 hole as the PO had the steel style insert installed and it's causing that hole to run hot and burn up the plug.

Hoping that'll take care of this issue so I can spend my money on fun stuff! Like replacing the muffler with a chambered exhaust pipe and doing the V/B spring upgrade. I just did the Rancho 9K's all around..

My dad had a COP go bad in his 2005 Focus. I gave him a spare one I had off my 2005 Crown Vic at the time and even though they weren't the same style (couldn't screw it in, was too big) he ran it like that for over a year without a problem.

Be careful when swapping, not all COP's are interchangeable.
