1961 f250 4x4 rear Brake drums

Good Afternoon.

Currently fixing up a 1961 F250 4x4 and need to purchase replacement rear drums. Local part store only shows p/n's for rear wheel drive (2x4) vehicles.

Are the rear drums and possibly all other rear axle parts the same between the 2wd and 4x4's?

Thanks in advance for the help.

C0TT-1126-A .. Rear Brake Drum / Obsolete

Applications: 1960/66 F250 4WD / 2WD is not the same.

COLLECTORS AUTO SUPPLY in Orville WA supposedly has 2 (800-414-4462), but don't count on it.

This is a 'middle-man' operation, they buy parts from other sources (usually NOS from dealers/obsolete parts vendors or from auto parts stores), then sell to the general public.

I was unable to find any NOS at any Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor, so where they acquired them, I dunno. But, this is the only source that shows any.

I took my drums to an O'rielly's and we went thru several part #'s until we matched them. Hope this helps.

Same application as the brake drums? Front, rear or both?
Assuming same application and front & rear:

2) C1TT-2A635-C .. Right & Left Rear Parking Brakes Cables / Obsolete

Applications: 1961/62 F250 4WD

NOS PARTS SOURCE in Olathe KS has 1 = 913-220-5746.

MILLER OBSOLETE PARTS in Binghamton NY has 1 = 607-722-5371.

NOS ONLY in San Jose CA has 2 = 800-667-6659.

GREEN SALES CO. in Cincinnati OH has 3 = 800-543-4959.
------------------------------------------------------------------
1) C1TT-2853-AB .. Front Parking Brake Cable / Obsolete

Applications: 1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1966 F250 4WD

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

Front Brakes

Bill, Thank you for all the help so far.

One question still on the rear brake assembly you provided part number C1TT-2853-AB for the front cable I only found C1TT-2853-AA Are you able to tell me what that fits or if it will work?

Can you give me the P/N for the front brake cylinders, drums, and hoses?

Once again my VIN/Serial number is f26jk171366

Try napa for the brake drums, i price checked front and rear drums for my 64 F250 4x4 a couple months ago and they showed them. Not sure if your trying to do a concourse restoration or what but your rear axle should be a dana 60 which is one of the most common rear axles ever made. As long as the brake size is the same any rear drum should fit, a few small improvements or revision might have changed but they should function the same.

I found that I was able to use the centric and carlson to restore brakes.

Both their catalogs go back to the period. Sometimes you have to look at the year after, but most have images and dimensions.

Hopefully this helps.
