need turbo placement advice!!!

So I was looking around Craigslist and found a brand new 72mm turbo kit for small block ford for a really good deal. It is sized for a 351w. However it is designed to be in a fox body Mustang. I'm dying to buy this and give it a shot on my 91 f250. Of course it would go along with supporting mods, but I'm trying to find out of anyone has made a Mustang kit work or is it too much fab work to be practical? Any advice or references are appreciated!!! Thanks!!

The kit has to be modified a lot but it will have all the basic parts you need. If I were going turbo, I'd go remote mount and our it under the cab.

Well I drive this truck daily and it sees farms and mountains. It's a shame Ford put all the smog crap on or there would be tons of room

Delete the smog stuff, relocate the battery to the bed and you should be fine.

Even with the space. With having a crossover pipe and manifold on the turbo side, is there gonna be suitable room for a downpipe you think? I'm just trying to think of any possible dilemma before pulling the trigger lol

They fit turbos on the diesel trucks. You can make it happen.

I think I'd have to agree with that. Is there any references on doing smog delete the right way?

You might have better luck looking up smog delete on mustang forums, it's pretty simple but you will have a CEL if it's not turned off in your tune.

I just did it on my 96 but I'm not sure if there are differences between our trucks.

I know mine being OLD 1, it looks like a Christmas tree if anything is not perfect. Mainly with air/fuel sensors. I don't know if smog would make it react the same
