They can also score if they don't crack. You should not see concentric rings on the inside of the flare, a sure sign of overtightening.

OK, sounds like I better check on all this before I get much further. If I have to replace the lines, I think it would be best to get shorter ones so they don't have to twist so much. Ya think? Tyler

Just make sure that you take into account the engine movement within the motor mounts and body flex.
