Question 2004 F150 radio auxiliary port install

Hi, Has anyone installed a radio auxiliary wiring loom from a 2007 F150 into a 2004 F150 and succeeded? My truck has the 'AUX' button but no auxiliary port, I was wondering if i can get a wiring loom from a wreckers out of a 2007 model and install it in my truck. Seems to be a cheaper option than buying one from the internet. I really want that Cd quality sound but sick of the iPod radio transmitter..
Any help will be appreciated?

this may be a dumb idea. bit instead of wasting money on a wiring adapter that may or may not work, wouldnt it be chepaer to put in a aftermarket radio that has an option to plug in your Iphone into it? i spent 80.00 on a JVC deck that has a USB port in front and 2 aux 3.5mm jacks

That was my original thought, but was i was hoping i could pick up the wiring loom from maybe pick a part and install it on the cheap. I think getting a new aftermarket deck is the easiest option hhowever i would like to keep the stock system. Just researching options is all.

Im a personal fan of the stock too. Thats one area of the truck I leave alone unless its going to be a oem nav system. For whatever reason back in 2004 cassette tapes were still around enough to where my factory radio has that plus the cd so I just bought one of those cassette players you plug into your phone works good but even then id like to have a 6 disk and be able too hook up my phone
