Tiny Rust Spots Covered Under Factory Warranty?
I know it's been an awful winter so the amount of salt on the roads this year has been unprecendented.... however, my 2011 WHITE truck is now showing tiny rust spots all around it, even though I try to wash that crap off every week or so. I'm still within my factory warranty so but I'm wondering if something like this is covered? If so, will I get a new paint job out of it? Anyone else had a similar situation?

Its actually hot metal particles from your brakes that embed in your paint.I have a white Mazda and a Ingot sliver Scab 150 and they both have it. Here is my program (when the weather warms up)
1. Iron X (this product dissolves the iron particles)
2. Clay Bar vehicle
3. Light polish with DA polisher
4. paint sealer
5. carnuba wax-Colonite 845
This will probably have to be done each spring with light colored vehicles.

You have rail dust..
This is a Clay bar:Auto detailing clay, detail clay bar, clay lubricant, Pinnacle Poly Clay, Wolfgang, auto detail clay, meguiar's detailing clay, auto clay bar
Make sure to use a good wax afterwards. +2 on the Collinite 845.
Instead of clay baring my white F350, I would lightly buff the spots out, then wax.

Just realized I forgot to follow-up here.... anywho, I purchased a clay bar kit and all those rail dust spots completely went away!!! What an awesome product!!! It took about 30 min and some good ole fashioned elbow grease but my truck's paint job looks brand new again.
Thanks again for the help!

Make sure you wax the hell outta that truck, lots of coats. Makes it tougher for the rail dust to show again.

If the rust is etched too far in the paint, it may not come off. A clay bar can be used with car soap and water. I'm sure the truck is clean when claying as to not contaminate the clay, as any grit in the clay bar can scratch the paint. If the rust is still in the paint, take it to the dealer and see if they can warranty it for you as I have repaired rail dust issues at my work in the past under warranty.
