Trying to get to 600hp!

Hey guys I've got an 04 f350 6.0 that's fully bulletproof! I've got a sinister egr delete, upgraded oil cooler, 50 over injectors, rebuilt turbo, s&b intake, sinister oil filtration, sinister fuel pump, new ficm, new head gaskets and a 5 inch straight pipe. Also I have an sct tuner with custom times from innovative diesel. I've never had the truck on a dyno but I had a few different people tell me I'm probably in the 420-500hp range depending on the tune I run. I'm trying to get to 600-650 what should I do next?! Thanks everyone!

Here's what you need to do

Take a large briefcase full of $20 bills

Empty the briefcase into a paper bag

Remove $300 worth of bills from the bag

Light the bag on fire and let it burn completely.

Now take your $300 and spend it at the nearest nudie bar and try to forget how there's essentially no difference in what a 400hp truck does to a 600 hp one.

Put the truck on a dyno, so you will know how much power you're really making. If you're assuming that you're only making 420-500 hp based on what you're being told, what if I told you that you're making 675-700 hp? Would you feel better?
My guess is that you're making more power than your friends think.

He's assuming those numbers from his frist thread on here. He needs to put in on the dyno, that's the only way to know for sure. Or at least run in at the strip.

285cc injectors, FASS or an Airdog for the fuel side, bigger HPOP for the oil side, non-VGT turbo, trans work. Probably $4-6k of parts before you're done.

Thanks texastech_diesel! You're the man. I'm currently having a dual hpop put in as we speak so the new parts will come soon!

Just curious, why would you not start to go to fabricated exhaust manifolds to the turbo, fully flowed and developed cylinder heads, optimized intake manifolds and flow from turbo through a larger intercooler to the heads, and cam timing and valve job to optimize flow at a higher rpm than the engine normally runs? Why do people only seem to play with programming and external stuff like injectors and big turbos?

My thinking is that to make HP you really need to make RPM, so you need to move the operating range of the engine up a bit. Maybe 4500 - 5000 RPM for our engine. That means optimizing flow and breathing at a whole different level, rather than trying to brute-force the power at a lower RPM. Power is just torque times rpm* at the end of the day, so getting it to keep making torque at a higher rpm seems a logical step to me, when you are after 600 - 700 hp.

*I know it's hp = Tq X rpm/5252 but simplistically if you spin it harder and keep making torque, you make more hp

Put an airdog or fass on if you want to have a bad time...best bet is a fuellab setup, or what a lot of guys are doing recently is using a factory 6.4 fuel pump as a pusher pump for the factory 6.0 pump

definitely dont need 285s either, wow those are large. 190s or 205/100s will get you over 600hp

Diesels don't like 5000 RPM. Power is better off added with fuel and boost.
Intake restrictions don't matter like they do on a NA gas engine, because they have lots of boost.
