4.6 DOHC Swap into 96 Ranger

Can you cut the factory coolant crossover tube and flip it up so you don't have to cut the shroud and potentially mess with the cooling abilities.
Also do you have any flow worries from the passenger side header. There are a lot of tight turns and many welded pipes which when cut at an angle can increase or decrease the diameter.
Coming along nicely as always though.

I suppose I could do that, and it would be the proper way to go about it. I just don't want to have to do any more metal fab. Haha.
I really just have to snip a plastic strip that runs from the shroud to the center of the fan. It shouldn't have any affect on the shroud itself.
Here is a better picture of the clearance.
I guess I am slightly concerned about the passenger side header. I used 1 5/8" tubing, so I should hopefully have enough volume to make up for the tight bend. I basically had to make the 2 really tight bends due to the frame rail and the coil spring perch.
I suppose if I have any issues, I could always go back and hack it up. This was my first attempt at making headers, so there was a big learning curve.

Welcome to FTE. This might be all the advice you get from that fellow. He was last here 5 years ago.
