Need advice on check engine light

'04 FX4 5.4
Backfired when I was starting it yesterday and shortly after the engine light came on..Not sure of the number of the codes, but 2 are "lean bank 1&2 MAF sensor" and the other 2 are for "lean bank 1&2 O2 sensor"
Im thinking the backfire clogged the MAF sensor. I tried to clean it with brake clean but it didnt seem to help.

Wondering if I should spend the $125 on a new MAF sensor in hopes thats the problem..or is there a better way to narrow it down?

Thanks in advance for any input

You should now that you used brake clean on it. Use only MAF sensor cleaner on the MAF sensor.

I will have to disagree with you on that . I have used brake cleaner for Many years on Maf sensors . I also use it on other electronic parts with good results . I just removed and cleaned out the under dash fuse / relay block on my 04 Mounty after a soda found it's way into it , Ask My Wife how that happened !

You take your chances, but brake cleaner can damage some of the insulating materials used in electronics. They make MAF cleaner specifically for that component.

Never had an issue . All we use at the shop I work at now ( for 14 years ) used it at other shops for cleaning in the past . My brother in law in Chicago uses it also , he works for an electronics company . He told me about using brake clean .
