Maybe a pop. No boom. Funky smell. Someone let the smoke out of the wires and once that happens you are done for a while.

All human wires are good. It happened before we started. Someone flipped a breaker or something at the wrong time and burned out a couple electrical panels. Take them all night to repair.

ahh... smarter than the electricians at the one place i worked... they were feeding live 220 wires through steel conduit.. you can prolly guess what happened... hint.. EMS was called...

Quite often hear an electrician say it's mechanical. Quite often hear a millwright say it's electrical.
