No problems, Neil.
Was going to do some other things up there but, friend with me had to get back to the Fire Co. He made arrangements to get tires put on an ambulance Monday (we have 2). Somebody got antsy and wants it done now! They want him to take it to a garage that has royally screwed over the dept.

Seneca County isn't too bad, Pat.. 30 miles away but, a lot better service than the one 12 miles away.

Pat, if I go at the right time to the DMV that is across the street, I can usually walk right in to the counter and take care of business. Worse case scenario, I leave my paperwork and pick it up later in the day.

Had to fix it for you, Neil.

Well that does not sound good. If the tires are in such poor shape, then that rig should have been taken out of service until they could get replaced... duh. We have been lucky that we have found a place that does good service work on our trucks. We take them to Geneva to Regional International for their annual LOF and safety inspections. We are not required to have them inspected, but we started doing it when I became chief for the matter of CYA.

Nice fix and with the context that you have it, "take care of business" could mean a couple of things

I like George's version better! I actually do most of my renewing stuff online. I only have to go in if I have to change something.

The tires aren't that bad to warrant taking the vehicle out of service -which they did. We started going to a Ford dealer in Ovid. Among other things, the place that has been screwing the Fire Co, recently charged the Dept. $135 for a service call to install a wheel cover that they damaged in the first place. This is after my friend said he would go get the wheel cover and put it on.

OK that is complete BS with them charging a service call to fix something that they screwed up in the first place.

Now knowing that they took the rig out of service, I can see why they wanted to get it back in service ASAP. The closest hospitals for you guys are Geneva and Ithaca right?

That would open up Pandora's box right there.

Smileys are not working for me either, I know the shortcut for my frequently used ones.

Geneva, Ithaca and sometimes Sayre, PA. Many times for transport an ambulance service out of Ithaca is called.
Starting to get too many chiefs at the Fire Co. You know, "do this, no do that, no not that.." and on and on.
I'll get the rest of the story later..
