I don't have pictures, but I loaded an old dodge dart on a boat trailer, and the only thing holding it on was the boat load winch, and weight of the car to hold the boards in place.

My Nissan broke down on me about 10 miles from home on my way to work. So got a ride home to pick up the 350 and rented tow dolly to go pick it up. I loaded it up no problem. As I was in a hurry and was burning up vacation hours at work taking care of it I forgot two important things....

1. Forgot to take the Nissan out of gear. Luckily as I pulled away from the side of the road I did a u-turn to head home and had the feeling I better pull over to make sure I released the parking brake. As I've left it set on the 350 for 10 miles I doubt I would have noticed it being set on my tiny little Nissan. My wife jumped out to check for me and informed me that I left it in gear. I don't know what kind of damage that would have caused, even if I was following the 55 mph limit recommended by Nissan when towing with the rear wheels on the ground. 55 mph....1st gear...yeah...

2. When I got home I went to unhook and realized I never hooked up the safety chains to the Nissan and the tire straps were all that was holding it, which is normally what does hold it...but what if something had come loose. I learned that day that when it comes to towing, double check everything even if you are in a hurry.

Now I'm kind of paranoid and always triple check the hookups on my utility trailer before I pull away from the house.
Hahaha yea I had the tire straps up front and the safety chains attached good, the back orange ties I just put for the hell of it. The scary thing was it barely fit on the trailer lol. Nothing happened but I'll never do that again. I was determined to get it home and I had already rented the uhaul trailer because all my buddies with trailers fell through.

Drove up a wash mirror deep in water, went over the median at 70mph pulling a 6,000lb flatbed.

Jumped a wash at about 40. (Didn't see it) haha

Didn't fix my leaking oil pan gasket on my 1990 F-150, then let the wife drive it. She picked me up at work, we were driving through some fast food place and I heard it ticking over the radio. She ran it completely out of oil!

It had about 170,000 miles on it at that time. Fixed the gasket and drove it well beyond 200,000 with no engine repairs needed. Toward the end it seemed a little down on power, though!

I let Walmart change the oil in my 80 F100 with the inline 6 300. I drove it from Greenville, TX to Plano (about 60 or so miles) and pulled over because she was getting a bit loud. The idiots at Walmart didn't put the drain plug in and I had been driving with no oil.

When I called them about it, they denied it at first and when I told them I had the receipt, I was offered a free oil change. I told them the truck had no oil so if I came in for my oil change, they'd have to replace the engine too. The manager had no idea what to do so, since there was no damage, I just didn't go back. That truck had almost 750,000 miles on it when I handed it off to my cousin.

Well I didn't want to go there BUT!!!!!

I needed to get my spray foam guy up my snow covered driveway to insulate my garage..
I sanded my steep driveway..Hooked up his way too heavy trailer and I was off..Low range and all that..Well I got 100 ft up and started going backwards. You should have seen that trailer take down that tree and my homemade rear bumper poke a hole in the front of his trailer when it jack knifed. No truck damage LOL. Had to clean pants and truck though. My son was in pass side. We don't do that anymore. Lesson learned.

Well dumbest thing I ever did with my truck which was at the time,1959 F 100,292 V8,Three speed on the column, was tow my friend's 32 foot cabin cruiser to Marine shop for repair (35 miles).
Truck pulled it there, but upon leaving I heard noise from driveline and had managed to destroy U joint.
Dumbest thing I have done with my 2007 F 350 ,5.4 litre.4.10 gear's, six speed manual, was leave it out of gear and truck rolled backward's across parking lot and down into ditch with approx three feet of water.
Had to ask a guy with Dodge to pull me out.
