Ok, thru my research I found that the center bore diameter for our trucks is 124.9mm (4.917").

So what is the actual center bore diameter of our OEM wheels?
What center bore diameter equates out to "HUB CENTRIC"?

For example RBP wheels have a 125.0mm center bore which is 0.1mm(.0039") larger, which to me is pretty close to the same size. Now, I am aware it is not the same size, but they can't be exactly the same size or it would become a "press-fit" situation. Remembering my shop days, there are different classifications of fit, slip-fit, press fit, etc. So, any input on this would be very helpful.

From autoanything website
Part Number - 94R-1890-87-12BP
(Fits all Excursion models)
•Bolt Pattern: 8 x 170mm
•Offset: -12mm
•Back Spacing: 4.5 in.
Center Bore: 125mm
•Load Rating: 3200 lbs.
•Designed for vehicles with 4" lift or more
•Wheels are sold individually

I quickly measured my spare and came up with 125.75mm. Now this was a quick measurement, I will try to get a better measurement later. But at 125.75mm this is slightly larger than 125mm RBP center bore diameter. So would this be considered hub-centric?

I contacted RBP about their wheels, and the response was they will drill the wheels hub-centric if I choose to order them that way, no extra charge.

So, does anyone have actual stock wheel hub ID vs axle hub OD?

Well after weeks of searching I finally scored this prize!!

04 Harley wheels before polishing them up.

Wheel and tire next to stock Suburban tire and wheel after polished up. I am going to use my stock center caps because the Harley center caps are all the same and do not have the open front center cap for the 4wd hubs.

Pics on the X to follow

Wheels on the X. I know I mounted polished wheels and new tires on a dirty truck but I could not wait any longer.

The tires are 295/70/18 E, they don't look as big on the X as they do next to the Suburban.

So, I have a question. which would be the better option, 05 and newer Ford wheels with Fred's adapters OR aftermarket wheels?
I'm running the adapters and the 20" Harley Davidson rims. No issues.

Amazing how just a touch more height and the right shoes under these trucks makes them look so much better

Nice job

Stumped

Hey WE3ZS I am in the same boat you were a few months back. I have my rears finished and I'm getting ready to install the fronts. For the life of me I can not figure out what tire size to go with. I know I'm going to 18's and I was planning to go with LT275/70R18 until I read your post. Your tires are about an inch taller than that. How do they cram in there? Do you have any fitment issues? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Five, my EX with it's 4" lift and 35" tires is shown in post #6 of this thread. My front is actually 3 7/8" higher than stock with modded X codes and with the Nitto Dura Grapplers in 305/70R18E (35.28" tall) on the '04 SD Lariat rims I get just a little bit of tire rub on the leaf spring at full lock, really just enough to hear it. The rear is up by 4 1/2"+ so there is plenty of room there with no issues.
Good luck with yours and remember we love pics! Start a thread on your EX and it's mods.
