95 2.3 Waterpump replacement warning.

Just an FYI for the 2.3 crowd, when you replace your water pump make sure when you buy it, it has two o-rings in it. One for the pump housing and one for the inlet pipe.

Its an easy job:

I like to use water pump and thermostat silicone.

4 10 mm bolts for the fan
2 10mm bolts for the fan shroud
3 10mm bolts for the water pump
2 8mm bolts for the inlet tube
3 hose clamps

1 long 10mm wrench
3/8 ratchet with extension and 10mm socket
1/4 ratchet with deep 8 mm socket
pliers for the hose clamps.

remove top radiator hose
take the fan loose
take the fan shroud loose
remove fan and housing together
remove the bottom hose
remove heater hose from inlet pipe
remove 8mm bolts
wiggle the inlet pipe loose (patience)
remove the water pump

put the water pump in snug
slop up the o-ring and the inlet tube really good
slip it in tighten it up (hardest part of the whole job)
put both hoses on underneath
fan and shroud
top house and
VOILA all done refill with coolant.
Enjoy the beers.

This would make a good sticky if such a thing is still done.
