My Cyclone makes my truck look small; your Raptor makes your truck look like a toy Roy.

I don't own a 5th wheel or Travel Trailer yet...someday soon...but this post has been sure fun to read and get different ideas. Keep the pictures coming. Some of the scenery in quite a few of the shots is spectacular.

Hi Shawn.....
Sometimes I think we are crazy hauling around the monsters that you and I do...

Just spent 3 weeks in Winnett MT working on Lynn's House Trailer that she rents. It was comfy having the "house" to live in while there for such a long time.

The truck pulls it so well.......

Just out of curiosity, do you regret not getting a dually? I don't - the rig seems to pull and tow just fine on the 20" wheels. Some folks claim you just can't tow a rig this big without a dually but so far I don't see any need for the duals. Maybe if I get a flat tire...????

I have the 18" wheels. The rig behaves fine, no sway. I have no experience with a dually, so it is not possible to compare. I also use the truck for other than towing.....so I think I am better off with the SRW version.

How close are you guys with your tri axle toy haulers of going over cargo capacity? Just curious.

Cougar 327RES...its over 36' long. Specs say 10.5K LBS but once my wife packs all her stuff it's over 14K LBS to pull. Photo shows some sag as I didn't have my Firestone bags inflated yet. Levels out real nice with about 40lbs in each.

^THAT is the $24,000 question...

Without judicious loading and full certified weights none of us know....

The dealers and mfg's say "SURE, you can pull it !!!!"
and the posted weights are RARELY what it really weighs...

so go by a cat scale and spend $10 to find out...

I did and made sure I was ok on all my weights - gcwr, gvwr, fgawr, rgawr, etc....
but I did have to go to the max gvwr for the srw and registered 1000 lbs higher...

Some of these tri axles have a dry pin weight @3500-3800lbs which is right @ the number that is posted in the door jam for cargo capacity for my '14 F350 CCSB with 11500gvwr. So there is little room for any kind of loading in the 5th wheel or truck. Reason why I ask is I would like to upgrade to a 5th wheel but I think staying around 2500-2800 dry pin weight would be safe for loading up the truck and camper.
