Thinking about trying an Andersen Rapid Hitch instead of a Diversi-Tech (DT) this time. I have owned at least 4 DT's in the past with zero issues, but read great things on the Andersen, and am looking at the 6" greaseless model (should be fine on a stock height F350 right?). I also read about the flaw with DT's security.

I like the B&W tow and stow tribal, but it's not a Class V.

Also when the heck is Andersen and B&W going to get on board and make a 2.5" shank model!? These receivers have been out for several years now.

You mean I am not the only one that hates using the adapter...

With the DT you don't need the adapter which is nice, I just can't believe that Andersen and B&W don't have a 2.5" model yet. Shoot, B&W doesn't even make a Class V yet! Come on now, these receivers have been out for years now.

I only skimmed through it real quick as I have a ton of construction going on around the house (new roof going on and master bath after winter damage).

In my between time I have been researching tonneau covers and losing my mind. I think I have it down to the Roll-X or the RetraxPro, two entirely different price points and styles. Decisions, decisions.

I bought the Ford Rev folding cover. I liked the fact that its covered by Ford and not by BAK.

Anyway, what's the security issue with the DT hitch? I have the class V 6" drop 2.5 inch one and I didn't know there was a security issue. I love mine.

Commanded regen in models other than XLT is good news!

They are a a bit pricey, especially since I seem to go through them like water (buy and sell when selling a vehicle). I think I have had 4 or 5.

I need security though; it is imperative. As far as a roll cover goes, I think the only one I can do is the Roll-X as it is quite secure. I like the Roll-X price and full bed use compared to the RetraxPro, but love what I am reading about the RetraxPro. I may have to spend the extra.

Well, I'm hoping the thief just moves on when they realize mine is locked. I love this hitch.

It would take some effort and knowledge from the thief for sure. I owned several and had no idea until I started researching hitches again. I loved mine as well. A spot weld or some JB weld in the hole would take care of that problem
