Hey everyone! Its been a while since iv been on here. Life has gotten busy since I started my new job as a forest firefighter in north nj. Been banking my money and working on the truck here and there. Iv replaced all my exterior lights with white leds. Swapped out headlights to black and chrome instead of the stocks with white led turns/ markers and hid. Smoked recon 3rd break light, smoked spyder tails. Rewired my mirror turn signals/markers to white led as well. Stc chipped with egr and dpf delete. Made my own sub box with single shallow 12" pioneer sub and pioneer speakers all around. Soon will have black moto metal 962 wheels 20x12 with -44 offset on 305 55 20 nitto trail grappler mts ordering those in a week.

Now im looking to get a cold air intake system and a coolant filter system. Iv been looking at the afe pro-dry s magnum force stage 2 air intake system. And sinister diesel coolant filter system. Is this a good thing to do? And is afe a good intake?

Thanks in advance and hope all is well with all my fellow 6.4 brothers. Ill try to post pics of the stuff I have done soon.

The original equipment air box is better than most aftermarket, you really have to pulling a lot of HP to need a different one, the diesel coolant filter probably isn''t a bad idea although the 6.4 doesn't have near the issues the 6.0 did with sand and what not.

If you're worried about coolant, I'd say changing it more frequently would be better than a filter, but nothing wrong with a filter.

I got an aftermarket air intake and the rubber boots degraded within weeks or months, quality far below stock. Stock air filter isn't that bad, no issues and flows lots. I recommend stock unless your racing on the strip.
