For the V-10 yes it is a 6 or 6.5 quart oil change with filter (Motorcraft FL-820S ONLY) on my Ex for some reason it always takes 7 quarts to fill it to the full hash mark on the dipstick, I guess it's special.
And yes to the Mobil 1 trans fluid, but don't just trust my word, take it from Mark K., he was one of the engineers that designed the 4R100 trans for Ford back in the day. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...questions.html post #3 he says Mobil 1 is his choice and provides a link to his flush procedure, good stuff!

It has the required silicone anti-drainback valve in it, many if not most aftermarket filters don't have this feature and can allow for extra engine wear on startups from oil drainback. Walmart has these filters for pretty cheap along with the Motorcraft semi synth oil or the Mobil 1 jugs, best prices on this stuff in my area.

I have no experience with either of those aftermarket filters, I know the Motorcraft one is the right one and thats all I use. And at $3.97 I don't feel the need to search for a better deal.

Beats me. I drop my Mobil 1 and change filter between 3,000 and 5,000 miles depending on how much towing was done or is about to be done and my work schedule.

I wouldn't recommend a P rated tire for the EX. 114 load index is good for 2600 lbs, the E rated LT tire is index 123 which is 3400 per tire. Not hard to overload the rears with the P rated tire. If you were never doing anything but hauling kids and groceries, it might be adequate. A blowout at the wrong time can get ugly, you never want to be upside down in a ditch in one of these. (or anything for that matter)

I wouldn't go with "rugged sounding" as a spec... I'd say look for a tire that is 265/75-16 Load Range E - the load ratings should be printed right into the sidewall in clear text, as well as listed in the ad for any tire from any good tire supplier.
FWIW - Tire Rack lists the "Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar" as being available in both Load Range E and "P Rated" in size 265/75-16. Make sure you get the right one. The E's are about $20/tire more. The "P Rated" version of that tire is a 116T (2806 lbs, 118mph) rated tire, the "E"'s are good for 3472 lbs, 106mph.

Yes I'd agree on the load rating E being what the X needs.
Anyone have experience with that specific Goodyear tire?
Unusual to brazenly advertise that it has Kevlar.
It's an all-terrain/off road tire.
Hope it's smooth on those long stretches of i95 and 81 from FL<-> MA and vice versa but I need it to withstand a little while in snow & ice at certain times if the year, and the Florida heat the rest of the year.
