New Paint For My 68

Last weekend I primered entire truck with 2K. Water sanded it yesterday and washed her off with soapy water. Painted my bumpers with single stage grey metallic. Turned out real slick. Taped up under hood and door jambs as I am doing single color. Ordered paint last week is supposed to be here Tuesday. Hopefully I can get under my hood and jambs painted this week so it will be ready to paint Saturday morning. I went with Lexus Pearl White from TCP Global. Really liked the grey metallic I got from them, had already done my wheels back in January. Getting close to having this truck completed....I had put bedliner in it back in 02 or so and it is scratched and faded so I am going to do another gallon as soon as I get done painting. Will probably just get a gallon at Advance or WalMart...they are pretty dang cheap.

Still have to buff and put on side trim. Then I will spray in bedliner. I had painted my tailgate letters red then I sanded and put on 3 coats of pearl and cleared. It looks like a cranberry or something but looks better than in the picture.....

I took one of the driver side too.

This was the first time I have painted using googles ( I read your post about toxins in the eyes). I always have had a fire extinguisher handy but made sure it was where I could get it in a hurry as I had to run the old window fan to exhaust the fumes. I also had on a paint sock and full suit. It was nice not to have to scrub paint off of me when I got done. It didn't hurt that the temps was in the 60's either.....
