Looking at a new transit connect... Bluetooth?
I'm looking at a transit connect for my field super, (hardwood floor biz)
In IL. Cell phone calls gotta be bluetooth .
The models I've been looking at dont have bluetooth.
Can it be easily added,
Or is there a model w Bluetooth availible? The dash / radio doesn't look very aftermarket friendly.
Thanks,
Jake

They are out there. Smartest thing to do is plan when you need one and just have the dealership order you exactly what you want. Too often you have to not get some things you want, or get a bunch of stuff you don't want. When you order the TC correct it's an excellent value. Your dealership should be able to price an ordered unit just like it was in stock. Keep in mind, they are being shipped from Spain, so the normal 6-10 week time frame is out the window.

And I think they are now being assembled in Spain. I designed my ideal Connect on the Consumer Reports Build and Buy and found that to produce the best buy for what I wanted--but no such animal could be found on a lot and the wait time is really, really long.
From my designed, ideal Connect I narrowed what I wanted to what was absolutely essential and managed to find two such animals in my area. You can't always get what you want, but you can sometimes get what you need.
The Connect feature that gives you all the communication options seems to be the Sync which, in my estimation, is way too complex (This may be more my problem than a problem of the Sync system since I am not particularly in sync with computer operations).

My base Fiesta has Sync and it works easy. I use the following commands "Read text message", "Call", "Dial", and "Bluetooth audio". Once it's paired up it's not hard to use. As a plus, if I'm on a trip I can use my Waze app along with Google Music and the navigation interrupts my music with the turn by turn. If you're confused, just find a twelve year old, they are useful again!

Yes, a 12 year-old would be of assistance. I'm moving from a Ford Explorer that I purchased in 1998 to a 2015 Connect and find myself often confused. I do not have the Sync in my Connect, but its discussion takes up most of the quick guide that came with the van and much of the main manual. And there's this--I suspect that when buying a vehicle with Sync the salesperson can give a fair explanation. But, I'm happy without it and glad it works for others.

Winginit;
Was your ford dealer helpful in dealing with any of the problem?
I just sold a 53 Ford pickup, still have a 98 Ford Explorer, and now own a 2015 Connect. As much as I like Fords, my impression is that my appreciation is not returned by dealers. I suspect that the problem has something to do with the sheer mass of vehicles and customers.

The sync on the other hand have been terrible . Been on the phone a million times and it got me now where , I'm disgusted to to point of denial and I put it out of my mind.
