does anyone know can I use an add-a-leaf kit for an f-250 on my 04 excursion. I know swaping to f-250 stock springs will give a little lift but can I use those add-a-leafs with factory excursion springs. gas 5.7 ltr

Yes, An add a leaf or a complete lift kit for a leaf sprung SD truck will fit and work on a 4X4 Excursion.
You must have gotten the BIG V-8, most are only 5.4 liters.

 

I used a add-a-leaf made for the front of a 94 F350 4x4 in the front of mine. Just had to trim down one end of the leaf to get a better fit.

 

any 3" wide leaf spring will work.

you can add AAL to front and rear leaf springs for a custom lift.


or...you can spend $50 for 2-3" lift shackles for the front...and do a simple AAL out back. Less than $200 total to upwards of 4" total

 

or change you 2 5/8" rear block out for a 4-5" rear block.


I'd suggest doing a AAL or spring swap personally. the OEM "G" codes out back are some super sucktastic leaf springs. They need a lot of help

 

Custom pack the rear springs with parts of springs from older F250 or 350.

Here's some rear springs out of a F250 compared to the excursions. I kept the top two excursion leafs so I didn't have to remove them from the vehicle.



Plus the front add a leaf.
