The end of the saga! (Hopefully)

To all who know the story and have helped me along the way for over a year now, you will be pleased to know that I FINALLY have got my 351 engine running correctly and how it should.

I now have it
1972 block bored .030 over
New Speed pro hypereutectic pistons
New Hastings premium moly rings
New king bi-metal bearings all around
1971 2v open heads
New stainless valves
New valve guides
New COMP valve springs (the problem solver!)
New Elgin 1.73 ratio rocker arms
New pushrods
New lifters
Summit 5200 camshaft (edelbrock copy)
New timing set
New HV oil pump
New reman distributor with pertronix kit
Edelbrock performer intake and 600cfm carb

And it's running strong! (For now) haha

So THANK YOU ALL for your ideas and help and support.

I have a much greater understanding now of engines and how each of it's systems operate.

Yea Jeff, it's a load off my back for sure.

And with the matching carb, intake and cam, she's making good power!

I got her tuned in, and she's holding 18" vac at 700rpm idle. The cam is only listed to make 14" so I'm doing good!

I've been driving it around, and I haven't even got into the secondary's yet because it just moves! And the cam gives it a GNARLY exhaust tone around 2200+ rpm I swear there's a thunder storm out back! haha
