How does the front fender secure to the cab in the inside of the cab? I have this bolt coming from my front fender... I'm checking the master parts CD now but can't seem to find it

On my 50, the actual fender doesn't bolt to the cab, only the inner fender does There is one bolt that goes through the flange sticking out the front of the cab(and another goes to a stud on the frame at the rear of the inner fenders. I believe that the inner fender is all that the rear of the fender attaches to other than the running boards. None go through the cab.

That can't be true. See these 2 holes on the lower section of the cab? I believe that's where the front fender mounts to cab...

Sorry ditty, I'm with dmack. Those holes on your cab aren't stock for the 48 - 50s.

There are 4 bolts that hold the fender to the outside of the cowl, top 3 bolts are inserted from inside the cowl, bottom bolt from the outside under the fender. 2 bolts on the flag at the hinge pocket where the inner and outer fender meet. There should be nuts welded to the fender on top 3 and a nut welded at the bottom of the reinforcement bracket attached to the inside of the cowl.

On 53-56 those three holes in the forward corner of the cowl line up with the three holes in your fender. A bolt goes through each hole. Access to the bolt head is difficult up inside the cowl or for that matter up inside the fender. I installed my bolts like the one shown in you photo so the washer, lock and nut are inside the cowl to protect them from
road splash etc.

My fenders have nuts welded to the top 3 holes and the bolts go thru the cab and thread into the fender nuts. The very bottom hole is the opposite, the bolt goes thru the fender and threads into a nut welded into the cab.

what you have there is not correct

Well, none of the holes in the cowl line up with the holes in the fender. ...... Puzzling...
