My buddy has a 2011 that has been a mess of a money pit. Blown through 3 DEF heaters in one winter he's had it, also had to replace the radiator due to a crack at 80K miles.

I would look at 2012+ to get away from some of these issues.

Our company just retired three 7.3's and replaced them with 2013 6.7's. They're great so far, but only have about 20k miles. My father has also been driving a 2011 since buying new, now is creeping up on 100,000.

I just had to replace a water line going into the turbo and reseal the exhaust collector on my father's, but other then that it has been completely maintenance free including the dreaded radiator. It really wasn't that hard to work on either. They must make it easy so their half a$$ dealer techs can work on em.
