My last post I have tried all solutions in other threads. Sending unit is good - gauge goes to full when sending unit is grounded to frame - diagnostic test shows gauge working. Tried to rest computer by removing ground cable and turning on headlights, waited hours and the first time I turned on ignition the indicator would rise to the E mark and stay there. Before it would drop back down. Put unit back in tank and hooked it to run. Started it and the gauge dropped back down. Reset computer again - started it and gauge stayed up on empty (3/4 full tank) After a couple minutes, while still running, as I was resetting radio presets, I looked at the gauge and it dropped back down.
Any ideas where to go from here?
