Lifting Independant Front Suspension???
I just recently bought a 94 F250 XLT 4x4 with a 351w. I plan on making this truck into a weekend toy/daily driver. I plan on putting a 6'' suspension lift in it but theres only one thing im not sure about. My truck has independent font suspension, kinda like the old style twin I-beam suspension. Im 16 and this is my second vehicle ever owning, my first being a 76 f250 2wd. I have just one question, with my truck having independent front suspension, am I still able to lift it or do i NEED a solid axle??? And would a lift kit especially a 6'' lift look stupid with independent front suspension??? If anyone has pics of there independent front suspension lifted please post them so i can have an idea of what it will look like ... Any answers, suggestions, pics, and help would be appreciated ... THANKS

With all independent front suspensions the whole system gets lowered you don't just put bigger springs in so it will always look a little more clustered than a solid axle but there are advantages and disadvantages to both designs. In the pic below you can see the drop brackets for the suspension..

upgrade the caster camber sleeves in the upper ball joints to allow for a quick and painless alignment (also to save yourself from getting raped over the cost of the shop putting adjustable sleeves in it for you).
Personally, the cost of swapping to a solid axle over "repairing" your TTB isn't worth it, unless you already own the axle. You'll pay less to build a perfectly capable TTB.
