78 Windsor into 96 f150

Ok so I found a hell of a deal on a 351 windsor but it's a 78. My 302 in my 96 f150 finally quit on me so I want to drop a 351 in it. How hard would it be with wiring/etc to do? I know 96 is when they came out with obo2 so I didn't know the troubles I'm getting into here.

Yeah this is a bit more complicated, you need all the standard EFI components for a 5.8 including the intake, distributor, and exhaust manifolds but also the OBD2 specific balancer and EGR components for a 5.8. None of these 5.0 components will transfer to a 5.8 so you might just want to find another 5.0 to swap in.

I didn't figure. I got it for 150 and it has 60k on it. Never rebuilt or anything so I thought maybe since I'm so far below budget that I'd completely rebuild it. If all I kept from it was my essentials: block, pan, etc would it be do able?
