i took a closer look at the latch. sprayed it out with elecrical cleaner. that cleaned off the old grease and grime, but still no light. it looks like getting to the latch assembly might be a bigger pain than i expected. i will look at the wiring harness before i go after the micro switch, but does any body have any past experience with this issue. drivers door does not turn on the dome light when you open the door. the other 3 doors work fine.
