302 headers replacement long tube or stock?
I'm needing new headers and I have original stock shorty headers on my 73 f100. Engine is a 302. Will long tube headers mount directly to intake, or or should I replace with original headers? Long tubes best to convert from single to dual exhaust?

From recently putting on long tubes, let me say it is not fun by any means, had to undo motor mounts and remove fan shroud to lift motor up and had to remove starter just to get the passenger side one on, drivers side slid right in no problems, but very easy for duals, I will take pics of my set up when I get home to show you how I got mine run. Shorty would be easier but I do like the long tubes a little more

Along with everything Ryan said, with long tube headers you will also have to contend with the transmission cross member being in the way. I used Hedman collector extenders to get the exhaust routed up and over the crossmember.

I would save up a little more and get a set of these

And either use a thick gaskets or some really good gasket sealer because they are prone to leaks.
