parts needed for a 4.9 to 5.8 swap

Hello everybody!

I have a 1995 F150, 2wd, currently has a 4.9 straight six, 5 speed, and while the old 300 has served me well, eventually i will be swapping in a rebuilt 351. Outside of the garage sits a 1995 F150, 351, auto, 4wd, that i plan on grabbing all the needed donor parts from, and scrapping the rest.

So, what im asking is, other than the engine and assorted brackets, the engine harness, and the frame perches, what else do i need to grab off of this truck before it heads out to the scrapyard? Do i need to take the entire under dash harness, or just the computer? any other tidbits I need to grab? As much as i would love to keep the parts truck around for the entirety of the swap, it needs to move out by August, tops.

Rad and hoses for sure.
Are both trucks MAF or SD? You need the complete wiring harness from the motor all the way back to the computer not just the engine portion.
Are you keeping the 5-speed? If so you will need a 5.8 flywheel as well.

i have the flywheel sourced from another place. Both trucks are speed density. i will go ahead and pull the dash and keep the entire under dash harness, just to simplify things. I will keep the radiator, hoses, brackets, pumps, throttle cable, any odd assorted brackets, and basically anything else that seems like it would be important

With both trucks there it will be a simple swap. Just move the engine, brackets, all the wiring from the 351 into the 300. I'm trying to find one to do the same with.

Get everything you can.

Block, engine mounts, brackets for accessories, grab the accessories too just for simplicity, all wiring under the hood, intake goodies, any various other stuff you see that you might want. Somebody else cine in if I'm missing anything.

Also, you need to decide if you're keeping the auto or manual. The auto will need all the wiring to control it as well.

You need everything attached to the engine but don't forget the frame towers as well.

Manual. the shiny chrome stick coming out of the floorboard is the centerpiece of the truck.
