1990 Ford tack & gage issue

Hi everyone I have a 1990 Ford F -350 crew cab lariat 7.3 diesel. recently my Tack, oil temp, alt, and temp gauge and fuel gauge went screwy. tack stopped working . oil temp reads hot alt reads 8 (not charging) temp bounces from normal to hot and fuel gauge reads 1/2 constantly. ( instrament panel lights work)

I removed the instrament panel and checked the plastic sheet with the copper contacts for the instrament panel and it looked ok, there was no signs of corrosion or a short. checked the fuse panel and all fuses were ok.

I'm thinking its a ground problem? can anyone advise if they have had this type of problem or if you could tell me where the ground wire would be located so i could check to see if its broken?

thanks in advance

Did you unplug and plug back in the large wiring connectors to the circuit board? That's what I would suspect first. I have had them get ****-eyed and have bad connections that caused problems. You have to check them after you plug in the speedo cable, just before you put the cluster back in the hole. The wiring harness pull on these plugs sometimes.
