GM column wiring with Speedway harness

Im trying to figure out the way to wiring in a GM tilt column mount ignition switch with duraspark II ignition module. Page 7 of the speedway manual shows the wiring, but its not clear to me. I know that the starter cable is purple and comes from the starter solenoid. The assy cable is 4B. I think the ignition cable will be the red power cable from the DSII module. Im not sure what "spare ignition" is or what to put there. I can only guess is that the 2 ground connectors are attached on the other side to the body. Would battery power really be spliced from a single cable to 3? Are all the power connections power in or is one power in and 2 power out(or 2 in, one out)?

Sorry, I can't help on your problem. I can say that I used the same harness in my truck. I ran into problems with the Ford alternator not charging and another problem wiring the HEI (for my Ford 289) to the harness.

I called their tech line with mixed results. The first guy I spoke with was a complete a$$. When I was able to get back to my diagram and found an error in their diagram (older than the one you have posted), I called back and the tech was very helpful (different one). He found the corrected diagram and walked me through both of my issues. This included the wiring the Ford alternator to the GM harness.

I would recommend giving them a call.

If you get a chance, just call the tech line. The rep I spoke with went through several diagrams and checks with me while I was on the phone. Managed to fix both of my issues in one call.
