Which Programmer with DPF delete
Hello FTE , I just recently purchased my second Dually. 08 4x4 King Ranch with 164K miles on it. Its still completely stock except for a 6" RC lift with 35" Fuel Offroad mudders. I have read the carfax and the first owner was commercial and 90% of the miles were put on then. It had the radiator done at 30K miles. I drove it back from Dallas to Northeast Arkansas and averaged 11.5 mpg with the lieometer. I am looking to do the DPF delete and try to get a couple more MPGs out of it. Not looking for alot of power, this one has plenty compared to my 01 F350. Just want a little better economy and to be able to correct my speedometer for the tire size. Thanks

Personally I would search Craigs list to try to find a pre EPA H&S tuner, also try searching Ebay of Canada, you might find something worth buying.
Bunch of places are selling H&S that must be made of the country or their doing some programming to them, but they don't come with the allotment of tunes the old ones came with, they probably would be OK??

H&S, Spartan and DPF-R seem to be the better choices. However don't set expectations too high on the mpg gains. To be realistic, you'll see savings from no more regens and maybe 0.5-2mpgs at best from what I'm gathering...depending on how you drive, of course. H&S will let you modify tire size
DPF-R doesn't mess with your shifting; it keeps the existing factory shift schedule untouched.
