Cruise o matic

Purchased 1965 F100 with cruise - o matic trans and a 360 motor. pervious owner states it is a cruise o matic. Looking the radiator I see from the bottom radiator hose has a T in it with a hose going to the trans to small cooler. Looking at hoses and cooler, appears it was an add on? The ID plate has "G" for transmissions (cruise o matic). My question, I have new radiator with plugs for transmission, can I lose the cooler and hones and run line from the trans to radiator? What was the original set up for cooling system? Are there lines available or do you need to manufacture?

1961/78: The IDIOTS at FoMoCo used the Warranty Plate TRANS code G for all A/T's. One had to know which A/T was available with what engine.

MX Cruise-O-Matic has 14 trans pan bolt holes, installed in 1965/67 F100/350 with 352 and 1965/72 F350 with 300 I-6.

No 360's until 1968.

Pic is similar to the A/T cooling system used with MX Cruise-O.

NumberDummy, thanks and thanks for the picture. My trans has 14 bolts and closer look the tans cooler looks to be original, it the two hoses from the trans are a mess, wired up in various places (my guess is when they put in the 360 motor). I have a rebuilt 352 which I'm going put in (per the VIN "D", it had a 352 originally).

Questions
Do you have diagram for the MX Cruise-O-Matic and the 352? (like to see how the line run)
Can new lines be purchased?
Does the 1695 MX Cruise-O-Matic have a shift down (not sure of exact term) from carb to Trans?

Thanks

I took a radiator from a mid 70's truck and got rid of the old coolant system and plumed it to the radiator

Thanks for your post. If I could inquire more on MX Cruise o matic plumbing. I looks like I can purchase lines for a 67-72 from trans to radiator, it seems with some modification (bending) should be able to run to radiator? How did you do? Did you remove the old cooler attached to the side of the trans? Second question, i do not see a kick down linkage from carb to trans? Did the MX Cruise o matic have one? THanks
