My 08 6.4 f 350 has 34k miles, I pretty much use for pulling my horse trailer or fifth wheel( both in the 17k weight range) not looking for a race truck, just optimizing what I have (power and tranny).. I have searched the various forum threads and seems to be numerous options. The delete is off the table, , so what's left?

 

you will likely get lots of opinions on all sorts of programmers here...for My $.02 worth, I would suggest looking closly at Banks systems..they have the IQ interface comouter with the Automind programming that is designed to work with the DPF in place...The automind has a tow program that seems to work pretty well. It has for me anyway. They build safety parameters into the programming and have pretty clean tuning. besides the tow mode, there is an economy mode and a sport mode for oem intake and for aftermarket CAI. Check for yourself at their web site. look up bankspower.

 

automind or the banks 6 gun with the IQ would be the best choice. CARB certified as well so you don't have to take them off at time of inspection either.
