Baja Desings SII LED Reverse Lights

I had purchased these Baja Designs LED lights to use on the front of my dual sport, but I never got around to doing it. Instead of letting this sit any longer, I figured I would put them to use. These little babies are seriously potent for their size. The best part about Baja lights is there ability to be customized to whatever application you need them for.

I originally had the combo optics on these lights and switched them to a full flood optic for reverse purposes. You remove the 4 hex bolts to gain access to the optics. I pulled off both of the optics, one driving, one spot, and replaced them with two flood.
I hooked them to one of my upfitter switches, and I mounted them to the rear bumper support. I am extremely pleased with how they work. They are pricey, but comparable to rigid in terms of price. These are great lights that can be used in multiple applications.

Here is a pic of one SII light with flood optics vs combo optics:

Wow those look bright! And tiny! What do those run for a pair? I just grabbed some 6" 18W LED bars to replace my current backup lights that are corroded.

Nice and bright. I use a similar 6inch reverse light for snow plowing.

Yes for the price they are a little over kill for reverse lights. I have a bunch of LED flashlights from eBay that all claimed to be Cree chips.... Unfortunately they weren't. Some of those vendors are hijacking the name for quality. Make sure you get them from good vendors so you get what you are paying for.

With these lights you could probably get away with one light for reverse and utility. I was actually considering turning them into fog lights and flush mounting them into the front air dam. I did get them for 10% off, if you mention you are a member of the forum, so now it makes more sense

If anyone boats, these babies would be awesome as utility lights!

Baja Designs are very nice, but that comes with an equal price tag. One of the EMTs at my work is dating the son of the owners... Maybe I'll pull some stings and get a pair

Always helps to know people like that!! I have access to Rigids at a decent price so I think if I decide to go with something nicer I will eventually go that way.

How did you mount your lights? To the bumper? Drill holes? Thanks.
