P2290 Code and Hesitation Question

I cant seem to find a specific thread for my question....After towing my fifth wheel to come home from a trip, I noticed a definite hesitation and while accelerating onto the freeway. The hesitation only occurred when accelerating, and when I got to speed ran smooth. The same occurred during the entire 200 mile trip. Occasionally when at speed the engine would go from 2000 rpm to 2100 or so. No check engine light and no smoke coming from exhaust. Checked codes when I got home and showed P2290. Was wondering if dirty fuel filters could be the culprit..Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated. Just prior to hooking up to tow the truck ran smooth on a short trip the same morning. Its a 2005 F-250 6.0.

slim chance its ICP or IPR going but you need a gauge to check

HPO Leak

Maybe standpipe or dummy plug would be common your year to Fail an oring on them

might as well do a STC fitting and be done with it HPO Wise

Usually rpm changes while driving would most likely be a damaged screen on an IPA valve. Especially with that code. I agree. Good luck

Check your oil level. Too low and no bueno, too high can cause foaming, again no bueno.
