What would you do with these dents?
So I got the family's 77 f250 4x4 passed down to me which is in really nice shape. I got it stuck so in search of cheap tires I bought a 79 f250 4x4 with a 429. The 79 is rough no rust but runs and drives fine.
My plan was to pull the lift springs and 38's off the 79 for the 77. But that was before I knew the two had different width springs.
So what do you guys think I should do with the two trucks? I want the 77 to be awesome cause its been in the family for a long time.
The 79
my wife and her friend like to ride in the 79.
Both of them,
the 77

I don't know if videos work on photo bucket, but I uploaded it so I will try to post it.
I kinda figured that's what people would say but I don't have money to build or drive both. So the 77 will probably just sit and rot if I don't do anything with it. No way I would sell the 77.
I'm not sure if the bumper will even bolt to the 79's frame? The ends of the frames are totally different. The 77 has a few rusty spots that need fixed on the bed fender wells.

I love yer Bumper. Would love to have one like it on my Bronk. You should
build them for resale. Your in Washington, Right? Shipping wouldn't be to bad up to me. Think about it. What did it cost ya to put your bumper together?
I also agree to try and leave the 77 mostly stock for a daily driver. Just get some meaty tires. Than use the other one for stump jumping. They aint like
a horse ya got to feed everyday. Don't cost if ya aint using it.

The frame on the 79 may be a 2 wheel drive then. It ends on the front in kind of a drawn out s shape, that's besides the riveted crossmember/perch thing.
Thanks for the bumper compliments, I spent about $200 or so on the steel alone, I dont know about how much in welding/torch supplies but probably another $200. Spent about 4 days on it off and on. Its all 1/4 steel I just got a tig so it might be some thing I could do. I don't think it would save much money for you.
Anyways here is the vid again

Yep, just the difference between the highboy 73-77.5 F250 4x4s and the 78-79 F250 4x4s.
I also wouldn't do too much with the 77. Love the bumper. The 79 looks like a badass muddier.

You don't have to drive both on the street.
Keep them both. With minimal effort, you can fit the winch bumper to the '79. The frame width under the cab is the same. Make the '79 in to an off road only mud truck. Have a blast with it. Keep the '77 as your tow vehicle and keep it nice.
I have 5 dentsides including a mega truck. Nobody said they all have to be street legal.

5? Awesome I would like to find a crew cab long bed 4x4. I'm keeping both, I kept the winch bumper on the 77 the oem bumper wasn't in the best shape. I wouldn't mind building a bumper for the 79 too. The starter plate? (The thin steal plate that goes between the block and the bell housing) is screwed. It supposed to hold the shoulder of the starter in place up snug against the fly wheel well it dont the starter moves away from the fly wheel and it won't engauge.
Thanks for the advice though!
