OK, so it's a 51-52.....not a 48-50. Doesn't look like too bad of a starting point. Pretty decent actually...
The grilles on these are the same as a pickup or regular truck. The upper grille panel is laying in the cab, which is a big plus. I wonder if the missing parts are laying in the weeds nearby?

If that truck were near me I'd be making a deal......

I'm guessing its a 1951 as the upper radiator grill assembly (minus hood latch assembly) is sitting in the cab on the floor and there isn't any emblems or holes for the 1952 emblem. The vin plate is missing from the firewall but the GVW model plate might be still on the inside of the glovebox door.

I never opened the door to look at the dash before.Upper half the dog house, upper piece between fenders, rad, misc in the cab.No pass seat.
The hood etc went to the east to save another truck.
We'll see, I may be able to trade some stuff I got for it.

I think these trucks only came with the driver seat.....mine only had one as well. Maybe the passenger seat was an option, I'm not sure.

Funny story about passenger seats. When I was picking up my COE, at the last minute before I got in the truck to drive away, the seller mentions that he has the passenger seat for it in a neighboring warehouse attic, but I probably wouldn't want it because it was pretty much thrashed and junk. Knowing how rare and valuable they can be, I about choked holding back my panic attack, then calmly said, well, if you've got it and want to be rid of it, I'll take it with me.

passenger seat

My coe came with the 2 bucket seats as most did but i heard from one of the old timers that since they had to get back in the passenger side because of the lock that most guys that delivered out of state alone removed the passenger side seat spring and all for the room.

Sounds reasonable to me, most of the coes ive seen have had both seats as well.

Looks like lots of treasures there,

Same thing goes for the passenger's seat in the panel truck. They are extremely rare to find.

seat shocks

While on the subject of seats what shock do we use when rebuilding seats. I just took a set out last week. They are in very good shape so i am thinking of redoing the original buckets. I want to put in a air ride shock. Who has them?
