TIRE PROBLEM PLEASE HELP
Hello everyone. I have a 2004 F150 2w drive.
I know my model truck has the limited slip, my question is this I have 265/70R17 tires on my truck right now, have had them since I bought my truck 2years ago.
the door sticker says to have (p235).
Is this bad that I have (p265) on my truck. Also as long as the tires are the same size on the rear I should always be fine correct. I know u should have the same size all around but because of the limited slip being in the rear that's where it counts most correct. I had to rebuild my rear end because a tire shop put the wrong size tire on my rear end I did not know this and payed big for it but I don't want to make the same mistake twice

No it wont hurt at all aslong as atleast the rear tires are a match. My stock tire size was 285/65/18 and I went up to a 305/55/20. Tires are one thing thats recommended but does not have to be followed, the only down side of having a much taller tire or shorter tire is your spedo is off and if you have really tall tires and can hurt fuel economy. But your gine aslong as both of the rear tires match
