Second row explorer seats from a newer explorer. Got the idea (and the seats) from another member here, so I can't take much credit other than making the seat frame.
A lot of work to get to this point. Looks good, you will be amazed the difference paint will make. If my wife see's your seats, I may be in trouble, they look pretty comfy LOL. Congrats on your progress, it wont be long now.
Looks good! Gotta be getting excited to get it into the paint shop and painted. What color you gonna have it painted?
Yes, very excited to be done working on it at least for awhile. It has gone from a blown up motor and chevy drivetrain with a lot of original parts to this in about 5 months. So it has been sucking up just about all of my free time.
Green. Probably emerald green like on the 90s mustangs.
Hey Ryan,
Nice - Why paint it? That patina looks good & you don't have to worry about people banging your doors....
Nice seats! I notice you went with the fan mounted as a "pusher"
up front. Did something lead you to do it that way?
Looking good over there.

Yeah I liked the patina too, but I definitely want a painted truck. Also the fenders and running boards are fiberglass, so paint will be required.
Thanks the seats are comfy.
As for the fan, there wasn't enough room between the radiator and the mustang style water pump, so it went in front. There is almost enough room, but didn't want to chance it.
Looking good Ryan! I am a bit envious, for me "off to paint" means hours of sandblasting or stripping, hammer and dolly work, priming, filling and blocking and only then final color (that is what I am doing right now) and this is after all sheet metal repairs. There is a reason that the "paint work" is a significant expense when done by others.
