Bug deflector opinions

I know this is a bit trivial, but I would like to add a bug deflector to the hood to try to keep the things from splattering all over my windshield all the time. I've never owned a vehicle with one on there and there are a bunch of options. Does anyone have any advice? I really hate dirty windshields - kind of an OCD thing with me - so I think this will be good but don't want to buy something that just doesn't work.

I've had these on a couple different vehicles and I'm not sure you'll like it. If you end up coming up here in a few weeks, I'll give you one that it laying in my shop to try. They DO seem to keep the bugs off the windshield, but they also mess with the airflow over the windshield and make your windshield washers more or less worthless at any speed above about 25MPH. Like I said, I have one that you're welcome to take and try before you buy one. Give it back at RRE if you want or just keep it. It's not perfect but it will give you a chance to use one and see if you like it. I think it is made by AVS if I recall correctly.

Thanks. I may take u up on it. I seldom use washers but we dont have to deal with the road sludge you have. I just want to know it actually moves the bugs off. Maybe it will make me more aerodynamic!!!!
Should know on coming your way this week.

Well like I said, it's a bit rough (it came off a JY truck) but you're welcome to it if you want to give it a shot. If anything it will let you see if you like it before you buy one. You may not even notice it on your truck with the brush guard and black paint.
