what to keep in your truck?
#16
I have AAA for all my needs and tools to keep me safe until they arrive no matter where in town I break down. IF I was to travel, the whole game changes. More than likely unless it was an easy fix, I'd still have it towed as far as AAA allows for free which would give me time to arrange a swap onto a trailer a family member would have to bring out. I wouldn't go but a state or so away and that'd have to be for something pretty important. My truck is the general shop/work/home/shade tree truck and doesn't go much beyond town.
You could make a few braces and stick at least one each on both sides of the front of the bed. If they can put a tool box there, you could in theory, make something to hide a few ammo cans or even a small out of the way jerry can holder undernder there. There's more room to work with under there than people think if your crafty. I've been thinking along these lines to carry the safety and med supplies I should have with me. Of course all I have right now is a phone......but a plan is in the works. Already have a supply of various sizes of ammo cans.
